![]() ![]() ![]() The hint for switching of the MAcOs Gatekeeper does not help with this problem. That isn't free and no matter how much you want to hope for success, people will dump it if it SUCKS. Open Source, Free, whatever, it isn't free if it takes time and lost productivity to use it. Very unprofessional product, how many others will toss it in the trash and not come here to figure out how to install this? Open Office will not survive with this kind of neglect. What other interesting problems are going to appear doe the road that we don't know of?Īre the programmers sub-par because this is an open source project, or are they just lazy? And who could be running the team that is developing this masterpiece of broken bits? Make sure they don't let anyone know they are involved, or they may be learning to ask "Do you want fries with that?" for their next job. How much more time will I lose with this shiny polished product? The ONLY way to install the file is to turn off gatekeeper through the security settings, yet, there is no mention that it is necessary to do so, or that using a standard key right mouse click combination is not going to work. How could you possibly turn out a product that is so retarded that it causes OS X to throw up a dialog box that proclaims it is damaged and to throw the file in the trash? If that isn't bad enough, if one uses the key combination to shut off gatekeeper temporarily the product wont install, but again causes OS X to exclaim the damaged file routine. ![]() So far this version, the team behind it, and the organization responsible for it will look to end users as a major FAIL. Usually when a group with the following that Open Office has turns out a product it is well developed, Quality Assurance is adept at discovering annoying problems with standards compliance, and the end result is a program that inspires confidence in the product, little or no friction upon install, and end users who know they made the right decision about trusting their data to the software and the organization behind the software. ![]()
